It’s a television phenomenon! Connie Britton, who plays the role of Rayna Jaymes on the hit series Nashville, is headed to the ballroom this week. No, she’s not going to compete for the Mirror Ball Trophy on Dancing with the Stars, she’s going to perform on the show in character. Why? Because her character’s storyline is all about CMAs and music awards and campaigning to win big on the show. She’s going to perform “Rayna’s” hit single, “Lies of the Lonely,” on the show.
Rayna Jaymes was nominated for a lot of CMAs on Nashville, and she’s tired of the fact that people think it’s just because of her relationship with Luke Wheeler. So, she makes the decision to kick him out of her performance on the hit dancing reality series so she can take some time to campaign for the win on her own and show the world she is plenty talented enough on her own to win without his help.
The even more exciting news is probably for Tom Bergeron, who gets to not only spend his time hosting the show each week, but he’s making a cameo in Britton’s appearance as the host of the show. It’s a big moment for the star, and he’s pumped to be a part of it. Fans of the show are kind of hoping for a big fight between Wheeler and Jaymes so that she has a reason to get back together with the obvious love o her life, Deacon. However, we have no idea what’s going to happen. All we know at this point in time is that if you want to see Nashville head to Dancing with the Stars, you’re going to need to turn on ABC on Wednesday nights at 10 pm when Nashville airs so that you can catch this double show/double cameo appearance.
